The only success metric for a company is the number of revenue paying customers , If there are millions of social followers but they do not convert into paying customers or repeat customers than what's the point.
Focusing on getting more social media followers is like directing your energies in getting window shoppers for retail outlet who will come but will not transact .
Once you have decent number of revenue paying customer than getting social followers would be very very easy or i would say that they will come automatically
